More info about Founder

Dr. Dragan Kaludjerovic received his B.Sc. in Hydrogeology in 1996 at Belgrade University and developed his thesis “Simulation of De-Watering of Tamnava Surface Mine”. This was during the early stages when only two commercial programs were available on the market and included Visual MODFLOW and ModelCad. Both modeling programs required high speed computers and about 16 MB of RAM (pretty high requirements at that time) so the model was done in ASM, originally written by W.Kinzelbach with slight changes in the source code by Dr. Kaludjerovic. This thesis determined the future development of Dr. Kaludjerovic’s career.
In 1998, Dr. Kaludjerovic focused his research on more complicated numerical models such as unsaturated zone modeling and transport modeling with MT3DMS. A presentation of his work at the MODFLOW 98 Conference influenced him to continue to work on mathematical models and their application to hydrogeology engineering
which resulted in his Master thesis in 2000 titled “Application of Some Commonly Used Groundwater Codes for Groundwater Flow and Transport at Vrbas Groundwater Source”. Later, he was invited to work at Waterloo Hydrogeologic Inc, (WHI), a world leader at that time in groundwater model development. During his time at WHI, he was introduced to innovative modeling techniques, including PEST for parameter estimation. During the next several years, Dr. Kaludjerovic worked on numerous projects including the design of a groundwater source with 1000 l/s in Macedonia.
In 2005, Dr. Kaludjerovic started work on his Ph.D. thesis which was completed in 2008 and titled “Natural Attenuation of Contamination in Groundwater“. The scope of this paper focused on applications of the RT3D (Reactive Transport) model with electron acceptors to a field case.
After his Ph.D. thesis, Dr Kaludjerovic continue to conduct research in the area of aerobic and anaerobic bioremediation with emphasis on emulsified oil projects and gas infusion technologies. In his continual quest to broaden his knowledge, Dr. Kaludjerovic began work on Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) under the direction of Mr. David Pyne, a world recognized expert in ASR. Dr. Kaludjerovic recognized the importance of ASR technology in water resources management and is currently screening south Europe for sites where this technology can be applied.
Recently, Dr. Kaludjerovic has developed expertise in the use and application of Environmental Molecular Diagnostic (EMD) methods. EMD is a collective term that describes a group of advanced and emerging techniques used to analyze the biological and chemical characteristics of environmental samples.
During his carrier Dr Kaludjerovic published more then 25 papers on his Linkedin page.
